This Week
Sorry for not updating a few days. Nothing much of interest has happened. I probably won't update much during the week because it mostly consists of me going to school or watching Ryan, which I'm sure you want to hear every mundane detail about. But to sum up this week, Monday was the first day with Ryan and I have to say it went pretty well. We mostly played with the new legos he has and made several different houses for his zebras. He tends to be pretty good with me, but perhaps we just haven't crossed the tantrum bridge yet. I was quite excited because the other day a girl in my class gave me a People magazine she had read and I was quite happy as I quite like that magazine and enjoy the crossword puzzle. I managed to catch the Lost episode which of course has yet to explain much of anything (typical). Yesterday, when Andrea tried to leave for work, of course Ryan didn't want her to and started to run after her, which I had to run after him and he screamed and cried for a while, but I essentially just ignore him and start playing with his toys, and he eventually joined me and was good for the rest of the day. We painted and colored and made Valentines for his parents for Sunday (which is a suprise) and then ventured out in the snow to the supermarket, and I let him pick out chocolate for each of his parents (thankfully he picked fairly inexpensive ones). When we got back we shoveled snow and attempted to make a snowman that really turned into a lump of snow. After his nap he "helped" me make cinnamon muffins and put the butter in the pan. They turned out really well and he quite enjoyed eating them. I made dinner consisting of omelets which Urs said he quite liked. Tomorrow Andrea wanted to have a ladies night and we'll go into St. Gallen and eat dinner and see a movie (in English), and on Tuesday Ryan gets to participate in the children's Carnival and he has a little bee costume that is very cute. Carnival has started and it essentially seems like Halloween where everyone dresses up and goes to party, but I am told it can be quite crazy.
