Well since today was quite nice weather wise, Urs and Andrea made a spontanteous decision for us to go to the nearby mountain Saentis. It was probably the last chance we would've had until it turns cold again, and that sentiment was apparantly shared by many, many others as there were quite a lot of people around. I was quite excited to actually be able to go to the top this time around. Plus it's always nice to see these things when there isn't snow on the ground. So anyway, we took the cable car up and while in the air we could see quite a lot of people actually hiking up the mountain. The last stretch of it looked pretty insane to me, and I have to say I was content to take the cable car. The top is 2500 high and a good 30 degrees cooler, but we were lucky it was a relatively clear day and the view of all the mountains was quite nice. There were a few clouds around, but at least it wasn't foggy. Supposedly you can see 6 different countries from the top, but don't ask me which ones. We wandered around at the top for a little while and then walked down just a little ways to a hotel and ate at the restaurant there. I was hungry too and ate a very large bratwurst and hashbrowns. Then we went back to the main building and the line for the cable car back down was massive. I browsed the gift shop and bought a couple things while they were waiting in the line, and then I think we waited a good 30-40 minutes more before we were finally in the cable car. When we left there was a bit of cloud covering the top which was kinda cool. Anyway, we made it back and now I'm tired.

From the bottom

more crazy people
cool cloud that came overhead
