Today we had a nice afternoon. Andrea, Ryan, and I (Urs was at the open air) took the train to nearby Alstaetten in an open air wagon. It was quite nice even if it is quite noisy and shakey, but the view is very beautiful and very enjoyable all the same. There are a lot of old buildings in the town that are quite nice and have a lot of character too and we stopped at a cafe and had some iced coffees. All in all quite nice. After getting off the train though your insides feel a bit shakey, but it's not too bad for just going back and forth.
So Urs gave me another day ticket for the train for in a couple of weeks so I get to plan another excursion. I think I will do my original plan for the first time around and go to Luzern and Mount Pilatus. It's supposed to be really nice there and hopefully the weather stays nice. I'm also planning a trip in August to see another girl I know who is an au pair in the French part of Switzerland. She lives in Lausanne near Lake Geneva, so that will give me a chance to see that part of the country which is supposed to be very beautiful.

It wasn't too terribly clear today so you can't see the mountains very well, but they're there in the background
