So yesterday we went on a little excursion to the highest peak in the region called the Santis. We had to wake 2 trains, a bus, and a cable car. Unfortunately they weren't running the cable car so we couldn't go to the top, but we'll go another time and in the meantime I have plenty of photos. After that we came home and I was beat. Today they tried to leave Ryan alone with me to get him used to the idea, and the first attempt was a disaster. He screamed and screamed so they decided to try later. This afternoon they tried again, and again he started to scream, but they tried to divert him with me reading Green Eggs and Ham and after wanting his pacifier he calmed down a bit. But after I was done with the book he started to cry again at which point I just started to play. It took him a while but he eventually stopped crying and started to play too. Hopefully he will start to get used to his parents leaving and not cry so much.

Well, it sure ain't Stillwater. I have no doubt Ryan and you will bond nicely. Have you played your flute for him?
ReplyDeleteNo, I actually just realized I didn't bring it. I didn't really have room for it in my suitcase.
