Kino

Kino-German for Cinema or as us Americans like to call it, the movies. So yesterday I had a nice evening out with Paula. We decided to see Shutter Island because basically it was the only thing that looked remotely interesting that was playing in English. It was horribly bad. I was thinking it was going to be a bit of a thriller movie with maybe a few jumping moments, but it wasn't at all, slightly creepy maybe, but mostly just weird. I had heard that there was a twist ending, but it was one that you somewhat saw coming. So basically I don't recommend that movie. Before the movie we decided to get something to drink and the closest place was the McDonald's McCafe. I have to say I was pleasantly suprised. I got a Chocolate Frappe and it actually was really good. That thing was all chocolate. Paula got a Caramel Latte Macchiato and it looked pretty good too. After the movie we were trying to figure out where to go eat, and since we really don't know St. Gallen very well we just walked around and basically ended up going full circle and then just picking the next restaurant we saw. I got the cheese dumplings and they were also good.

This afternoon I did some babysitting while Urs and Andrea went to Zurich to see the Blue Man Group. Ryan was suprisingly good when they left (this makes me think he will throw a fit tomorrow when mommy leaves) and we colored and played for a while. I think he won't want to be left alone tomorrow because he spent all afternoon with me today, but we will see, and in anycase I can let him play by himself for a while if he wants.

My chocolate Frappe, half-way gone already within 2 seconds

And to give you an idea of what Ryan and I do all day this is one of the many zebra houses that we have made. We have become quite good at construction with legos. We typically build 2 to 3 a day.
