Day 5: More Beach

If you can't tell already, there will be a lot of posts about the beach. But anyway, I had managed to sleep decently even though it got a bit warm later in the night. I was tempted to open the window but didn't want to risk the mosquitos. Luckily for me none seemed to be around. We went to the beach again in the morning. I spent a nice time reading. After lunch I went back to our reserved chairs (because you have to pay for it and since it lasts all day you might as well use it). I stopped and bought some snacks and postcards. I was able to snooze on a beach chair for about an hour. The nice breeze started to make me a bit chilly though, so I decided to snack and read for a while. Since it's the end of the season the beach is really nice with not a lot of tourists around anymore, so it makes it quiet and peaceful. There are a couple of asian ladies that walk around the beach offering massages. I was tempted because I could probably use one. I tend to hold a lot of tension in my shoulders. But I decided against it and after Ryan's nap the rest of the family joined me. I played ball with them for a while and then finished my book, so I went back to our room early to take a shower and have the bathroom to myself. I finally attempted to wash my hair, which was an interesting experience, using one hand to hold the shower head and the other to scrub. I think I managed to get it pretty clean, though there was water everywhere. After dinner I noticed that one of my earrings had fallen out. I found it in the shower and while picking it up, I banged my head so hard on the corner of the open window that Andrea was afraid I might have had a concussion. She made me sit down and hold a beer to my head (the only thing they could find as a substitute for an ice pack) and needless to say it looked quite ridiculous. I came away with just a bump and a bruise and it's all gone now.
